Emergency Homeowners' Loan Program (EHLP)

The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority is now accepting applications for the new federal Emergency Homeowners’ Loan Program (EHLP). The EHLP Program assists unemployed or underemployed Connecticut families who are struggling to pay their mortgage.

Please be advised that there are three ways to obtain an application for the EHLP Program:

1. Call CHFA’s Customer Call Center Toll Free at 877-571-CHFA (2432) or visit CHFA’s website, www.chfa.org ;
2. Contact one of the CHFA-HUD approved foreclosure prevention counseling agencies listed on the enclosed attachment:
3. Attend one of CHFA’s upcoming Housing Fairs at dates, times and locations which will be announced and posted on CHFA’s website next week.
