FEMA DISASTER RECOVERY CENTERS
Hurricane Irene brought much destruction to the State of Connecticut. Some residents of the Town of East Lyme incurred damage to homes and property.

... for the State of Connecticut, triggering the release of Federal funds to help residents of Connecticut who suffered damages from Tropical Storm Irene, beginning August 27, 2011 and continuing. Disaster assistance is now available to Connecticut residents.

Nine state and federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are opening today, Thursday, September 8, 2011 to assist individuals, households and businesses that suffered damage from Tropical Storm Irene and the subsequent flooding. On opening day the facilities will serve the public from 12 noon to 7 pm. Thereafter they will be open from 9 am-7 pm, Mondays through Saturdays, and Sundays, 10 am-3 pm until further notice.

The Town of East Lyme is collecting data pertaining to homeowner and business losses due to Tropical Storm Irene.
This information will be made available to FEMA, and the Small Business Administration (SBA).
