Town of East Lyme, CT

The Town of East Lyme has prepared the design and construction of a Streetscape Improvements project located in downtown Niantic at Main Street (Rte. 156) and Pennsylvania Avenue (Rte. 161).  The project will create more of a pedestrian-friendly downtown, attract customers to retail shops and encourage pedestrians to enjoy the surrounding attractions.

The Streetscape Improvements project consists of granite curb stone, concrete sidewalk, brick pavers, porous pavement material, crosswalks, decorative lighting,  trees and new sign posts.  Construction is underway. see Plans and Specs

Funding for the Streetscape Improvements project was provided by a Small Town Economic Assistance Program Grant.
